Why is the cutoff 2pm?
A roll-off truck carries one box at a time. Every same-day delivery is a trip to the yard for an empty container, a drive to your address, and a drive back, squeezed between the pickups and deliveries already booked that morning. Requests in by 2pm can still be routed into the afternoon; anything later runs into the pickups that have to happen before the landfill closes. That is the whole reason for the cutoff. It is not a marketing number.
The shop is open Monday to Saturday, 7am to 8pm. A request that comes in after 8pm or on a Sunday gets a call first thing the next business morning, and that morning slot is usually the fastest way to get a box for the day.
How does same-day availability actually work?
Honestly: it depends on distance and on what is on the truck. Javi's runs from the shop on Rose Blvd in south Orlando. Addresses close to the shop get same-day most of the time. Addresses farther out get same-day when a truck is already working that side of town, and next-day otherwise. Nobody at Javi's will promise a same-day box they cannot deliver, because a broken promise costs you a crew standing around.

What should I have ready when I call?

Does same-day delivery cost more?
No. There is no rush fee on the published fee schedule. A same-day 20 yard is $495, the same as a 20 yard ordered a week out, with delivery, pickup, 2 tons of disposal and 7 days included. The only charges that ever get added are the published ones: $83 per ton over the allowance, $30 per day past your pickup date, and $150 flat for an over-level load, concrete in a 15 yard or larger, or a blocked pickup. Can I get same-day pickup too?
Call when the box is full and pickup is scheduled into the window between 6:00am and 5:00pm. A same-day pickup depends on the same truck space as a same-day delivery; calling before noon gives it the best shot. If the job is a one-day cleanout, say so when you order: a box dropped in the morning and pulled the next morning keeps the driveway clear and never touches the 7 days you are allowed.
What if you cannot get me a box today?
Then you hear that on the phone, not at 6pm. You get a firm next-day slot, and if the pile cannot wait, junk removal is the other option: a crew that loads and hauls the same day, quoted by the job.
