Which dumpster size do I need?
Pick by the job, then check the weight. Light and bulky goes big; heavy goes small, loaded partway, because a big box full of dense material is more than the truck can lift.

Javi says: Heavy stuff — tile, dirt, shingles, block — goes in a 10 yard ($375), loaded partway. A big box full of it weighs more than the truck can safely lift and more than the road allows. Save the 30 for the light, bulky loads.
Looking for a 12, 14, 16 or 18 yard dumpster?
Roll-off containers come in five standard sizes, and those are the five on Javi's trucks: 10, 15, 20, 30 and 40 cubic yards. A 12, 14, 16 or 18 yard box is usually another company's name for one of the same steel containers, or a size that exists in a catalog but not on a truck in Orlando. Here is what you actually get when you order one of those sizes from Javi's, and why it is the right call.
| You searched for | What Javi's sends | Why |
|---|---|---|
| 12 yard | 10 yard ($375) for heavy debris, 15 yard ($450) for bulky | A 12 is a 10 with taller sides in most catalogs. Concrete, dirt and tile are about weight, not volume: a big box full of them is more than the truck can lift, so they go in the 10 loaded partway, and the 10 yard page has the details; for furniture and remodel debris the 15 gives you the extra room for $75 more. |
| 14 yard | 15 yard ($450) | Same footprint, 1.75 tons included. A 14 and a 15 are the same box from a different sign painter. |
| 16 yard | 15 yard ($450) or 20 yard ($495) | A 16 sits between the two. Ask what the pile is: kitchen or bath demo goes in the 15, anything with a roof or a whole house goes in the 20 for $45 more. |
| 18 yard | 20 yard ($495) | The 20 is the most popular box for a reason: about 6 pickup loads, 2 tons included, and it still fits a standard driveway. |
Not sure which of the five fits your pile? The size guide walks through it job by job, and 10 vs 20 covers the two sizes people search for most.
Size questions
Which dumpster size do most homeowners need?
The 20 yard ($495) is the most popular — whole-house cleanout, roof replacement, multi-room remodel. It fits a standard driveway and includes 2 tons of disposal.
Which size for heavy material like dirt, tile, shingles or block?
The 10 yard ($375), loaded partway. A large box filled with heavy material weighs more than the truck can safely lift and more than the road allows, so heavy debris goes in the small box below the marked line, not a big box loaded full. Included disposal is 1 ton; extra weight is $83 per ton.
Do the prices include delivery and pickup?
Yes. Every price on this chart includes delivery, pickup and the disposal tonnage shown for a 7-day rental. The only extras are the published fees: extra days, extra weight, over-level loads, concrete in a 15 yard or larger, and a blocked pickup.
Are the dimensions exact?
The 10, 15, 20 and 30 yard dimensions are the boxes on the truck. The 40 yard is listed as approximate (industry standard) — say so when you book if the exact footprint matters for your driveway.
What if I pick the wrong size?
Call (407) 860-8640. If a box fills early we swap it for an empty one and the job keeps going; if you picked too big you have paid for tonnage you did not use, so when in doubt call before you order and describe the pile.
