Which size after a storm?
Hurricane season in Central Florida runs June through November, and what a storm leaves in an Orlando yard is bulky before it is heavy: limbs, fronds, whole shrubs, fence panels with the posts still in the concrete, the pool screen enclosure in pieces, patio furniture that flew, shingles, gutters and, inside, the drywall, carpet and insulation that got wet. What does curbside pickup take, and what needs a box?
Every county in the service area runs regular yard-waste collection, and after a named storm the counties and cities usually announce a separate debris pickup with its own rules about how material is piled, what goes in which pile, and when the trucks come. Those programs change with every storm and are not restated here; your county's site is the source. The practical split is this: bagged leaves, bundled branches cut to length and a normal week's worth of yard waste go to the curb on the regular schedule, and after a big storm a large loose pile of vegetation often gets picked up too, eventually. What curbside almost never takes is construction debris mixed into the pile: the fence, the screen enclosure's aluminum and screen, the shed's roof, shingles, soaked drywall and carpet, and anything treated, painted or wired. That is a dumpster load, and mixing it into the curb pile is the usual reason a pile sits for weeks. The other reason people order a box is time: a pile of fronds on the curb can wait a month; a family with wet drywall in the bedrooms cannot.
How does weight change when it is all wet?

What from a storm cannot go in the box?
Vegetation, fence, screen enclosure frames and screen, shingles, gutters, soffit, plywood, wet drywall, carpet, pad, insulation, ruined furniture and mattresses are all accepted. The refused list after a storm is mostly the garage's contents that got wet.

Timing and placement after a storm
Call as soon as the roads are open. A request in by 2pm is usually delivered the same day in the core area in a normal week; in the week after a hurricane, plan on next day and be glad when it is sooner. The box needs the same things it always needs, a roughly flat spot, a straight approach of about 34 feet for the truck and 22 feet of clearance overhead, and after a storm that last one matters: a limb hanging over the driveway has to come down before the truck can tilt the box off under it.
